Seven Dolors Catholic Women (SDCW)

A brief description: Seven Dolors Catholic Women is an active organization that serves to unite all women of the parish in spiritual, educational and social activities. This can be through volunteering with one of our service ministries, and/or through fellowship and social events.
Its purpose and activities: We assist the parish in spiritual and material undertakings for the welfare of the community. We gather for both formal and informal social activities, including coffee hours, group rosaries and prayer times, theology nights, and yearly fellowship events such as Advent by Candlelight and Mary & Martha's Night Out. We also serve the parish through various service ministries, such as hosting receptions & funeral luncheons, providing meal trains for parishioners, serving the community through outreach, providing church cleaning, and hosting monthly Hospitality Sundays (Coffee & Donuts).
Meeting dates and times: The 2026-2027 SDCW Board meets on the second Monday of the month, on a bi-monthly basis.

Membership or volunteer opportunities: Membership dues are $10 annually per member. All women of the parish are invited to the group, regardless of their ability to pay. A service ministry chair oversees an area of responsibility in the parish such as receptions, funerals, meal trains, outreach, cleaning, and hospitality. SDCW members can volunteer for any service ministry. Their contact information is maintained in an electronic database and tied to their desired service ministry (or ministries). They are then contacted when a need arises from the service ministry chair.
